Overview
No data collected
ReminderTab does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data.
Everything the extension stores stays entirely on your device and is never sent anywhere.
What We Store Locally
The extension saves the following data to your browser's local storage only on your device:
- Task text and reminder times — the tasks you create and any reminder times you set.
- Dark mode preference — whether you have dark mode enabled.
- Notifications preference — whether you have notifications turned on or off.
- Draft input — your unsubmitted task text and timer settings, saved so they are not lost if the popup closes.
This data exists solely to make the extension work. It is never read by us or any third party.
What We Do Not Do
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or any personally identifiable information.
- We do not track browsing history or the pages you visit.
- We do not send any data to external servers or third-party services.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking of any kind.
- We do not share data with anyone, ever.
Permissions Explained
- storage — Saves your tasks and preferences locally on your device.
- alarms — Schedules reminders to fire at the time you set.
- notifications — Displays a native browser notification when a reminder is due.
- scripting — Injects a visual reminder overlay into the current webpage when a reminder fires.
- tabs — Identifies the active tab to determine where to show the reminder overlay.
- windows — Opens a small fallback notification window when the active tab cannot receive an overlay.
Data Deletion
All locally stored data can be deleted at any time by removing the extension from your browser.
Uninstalling ReminderTab clears all data it has stored. No data exists anywhere else.
Changes to This Policy
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be distributed with the extension and the
date at the top of this page will be updated. We will never introduce data collection without
updating this policy first.
