BulletBrief ("we," "our," or "the extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our browser extension handles information when you use it to summarize web articles.

2. Data Collection

BulletBrief does NOT collect any user data. Specifically, we do not collect:

• Personally identifiable information (name, email, address, etc.)
• Health information
• Financial and payment information
• Authentication information (passwords, credentials)
• Personal communications
• Location data
• Web browsing history
• User activity tracking
• Website content

3. How BulletBrief Works

When you use BulletBrief, the extension:

• Temporarily accesses the current webpage's URL and title only when you click the extension icon
• Creates a prompt containing this information locally in your browser
• Opens your chosen AI platform (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or Grok) in a new tab
• Pastes the prompt into the AI platform's input field for your convenience

This information is processed entirely within your browser and is never transmitted to our servers or any third-party services (except the AI platform you explicitly choose to use).

4. Local Storage

BulletBrief stores only the following preferences locally in your browser:

• Your preferred AI platform (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or Grok)
• Your preferred number of bullet points (3, 5, 7, or 10)

This data is stored using Chrome's built-in storage API and remains on your device. It is never transmitted elsewhere and can be cleared by uninstalling the extension.

5. Third-Party Services

BulletBrief integrates with external AI platforms. When you use the extension, you are directed to one of the following services based on your preference:

• ChatGPT (OpenAI) - Privacy Policy
• Claude (Anthropic) - Privacy Policy
• Google Gemini - Privacy Policy
• Microsoft Copilot - Privacy Policy
• Grok (X/Twitter) - Privacy Policy

Important: Once you interact with these AI platforms, you are subject to their respective privacy policies and terms of service. BulletBrief has no control over or responsibility for the privacy practices of these third-party services.

6. Permissions Explained

BulletBrief requests the following browser permissions:

• activeTab: To access the current webpage's URL and title when you click the extension icon
• storage: To save your preferences (AI platform choice and summary depth) locally
• host_permissions (all URLs): To work on any website you want to summarize and to interact with AI platform pages for automatic prompt pasting

These permissions are used solely for the extension's core functionality and not for data collection.

7. Data Security

Since BulletBrief does not collect, transmit, or store any user data on external servers, there is no risk of data breaches from our end. All processing happens locally within your browser.

8. Children's Privacy

BulletBrief does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. The extension does not collect data from any users, regardless of age.

9. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

10. Your Rights

Since we do not collect any personal data, there is no user data to access, modify, or delete. You can remove all locally stored preferences by uninstalling the extension.
